Resume text or file, job description, target role, and any company-specific notes.
Short, specific, and tied to the role rather than a broad career summary.
Edit the draft for accuracy, tone, and company details before submitting it.
Good cover letters are narrow. Use the job description to choose two or three relevant proof points, then connect them to the team, product, or responsibilities in the role. Avoid broad claims that could fit any employer. A short, specific note is easier to review and less likely to sound automated.
Before sending, check names, company details, dates, and claims. The generator can structure a draft, but the final accuracy and tone should come from you.
Save the final letter with the role and company name. If you apply to a similar role later, reuse the structure, not the exact wording, so each application stays relevant.
When in doubt, shorter and more specific is better.
